RAFT OF THE MEDUSA
Members of the Dramatists Guild of America and Teatro Paraguas present a reading of the first act of Raft of the Medusa, a play in progress by Bill Triplett
Paris, 1941. An embittered widow and her daughters struggle to survive under the boot of Nazi fascism in one of the most civilized capitals of the world, where fear, suspicion, uncertainty and betrayal now poison the air. Nothing is as it seems. What does a normal life look like now, particularly within a family already frayed and deeply scarred? And what do resistance and collaboration really mean?
Featuring: Marguerite Louise Scott, Lisa Foster, Hannah Machado Parker, Ariana Roybal, George Bereschik, David Jondreau, and Michael Burgan
Sunday, June 14, 5 p.m.
FREE (donations much appreciated)
